Day of Pampering at the Swissotel

I love my job! Daniel Jack and Phil Pessin from the Swissotel invited me and eleven other wedding consultants in to the hotel on May 23rd for a fabulous lunch of sea bass ceviche, buffalo mozarella and tomato salad and kobe beef. The meal was topped off with a fabulous cake by Marked for Dessert.

Top Romantic Jobs by Career Builder

I was recently interviewed to talk about the romance of my job by "CareerBuilder.com":http://www.careerbuilder.com. It was a fun article to be interviewed for as we talked a lot about the love, romance and beauty that surrounds the weddings I help plan!

Ali Phillips nominated for three NICE Chicago Excellence Awards

I am pleased to annouce that I have had three weddings nominated for a 2007 NICE ISES Chicago Excellence Award. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and dinner on Tuesday, February 27th at a celebration at Grand Piazza in Chicago, Illinois.

Ali Phillips Presents at Bridal Showcase

I recently was asked to present at the Bridal Showcase on Sunday, January 28th, 2007 at the Highland Park Country Club in Highland Park, Illinois. I was one of four wedding consultants from The Association of Bridal Consultants that was asked to present. I chose to speak about "Quality on a Quarter" and offer the brides who attended some fun and new ideas that are both affordable and easy to make at home.

Jennifer and Matt's Suburban Wedding at Valley Lo

Jennifer and Matt celebrated their wedding ceremony and reception at "Valley Lo Sports Club":http://valleylo.com in Glenview, Illinois. The skies were gray but no rain fell during their outside ceremony on the patio facing the little lake. Guests enjoyed cocktails in the lounge area and patio. Then moved to the ballroom overlooking the golf course and lake for dinner and dancing.

Kelli and Paul Taylor

We met with six wedding planners and knew Ali was the one immediately. Within the first sixty seconds of a sixty minute meeting, my new husband, my mom and I shot each other a glance and it was done. Hired. She got us. Plain and simple. After the meeting, the three of us got in the car, looked at each other again, and just started cheering and dancing in our seats (hoping Ali hadn't caught a glimpse of our dorkiness as we drove away.) Keeping it cool has never been our strong suit.

Alex and Jon Buck

There is only one word to describe Ali's professionalism, organization and spirit: perfection! We truly had our dream wedding in every sense of the word and we could not have done it without Ali. She is unbelievably knowledgeable with all the vendors and she coordinated the many pieces of our ceremony and reception so that it all flowed flawlessly. We literally did not have any worries on the wedding day - we knew Ali would take care of everything. I recommend Ali to everyone getting married in the Chicagoland area.

Leslie and Tyson Cornell

Leslie and Tyson Cornell's wedding was a windy and warm summer day at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago. The library looked beautiful as the sun set and the twinkle on the 400 votives lit around the library started to shimmer. Leslie loved pink and orange flowers and even picked out a pink wedding cake. The guests dined on filet mignon andrelaxed to a flamenco guitar during dinner. They later rocked the night away to the tunes of the Jeff Stitely Orchestra!
