I am so excited that one of the weddings I did in September was chosen to be featured in Chicago's most luxurios wedding magazine, Chicago Social Bridses. Lisa and Mark Rogers were married at one o'clock in the afternoon at St. Alphonsus Church. They toured the city in an antique car for pictures and then danced the night awayat Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago. Thanks to the amazing team of vendors who made this wedding night magical for Lisa and Mark Rogers
Engage 09!
If you remember back in October, I attended the amazing Engage!08 The Encorein Orlando; a high-impact wedding symposium for the best of the best in the wedding industry. I am so excited that the women of Engaging Concepts have announced the date and website for their Engage!09, Something Blue, at the Ritz-Carlton in Grand Cayman from June 21st-June 24th. This will be a conference I would NOT miss and am so excited to see my old friends I made and meet new friends as well.
Bride Wars Debuts Today
I don't know about you, but I love a "wedding movie". ANY movie related to weddings I always want to run out and see right away. I already have the time and movie theater picked out for tonight. (Have bribed my husband with going out for ribs after the movie). Looks like a fun movie and I can't wait to see it tonight.
Fun Picture
No bouquet today, I had to post this, so fun!! Alie (Harmon) Johnson, who was married on November 1st, sent me this picture from her wedding day. Each and every bride gets an Engaging Events by Ali Lands End bag when they sign up as a client and Alie used her bag on her wedding day with all her items she needed with her on her wedding day! How cute!
Jen and Louie Jimenez
Hands down, hiring Ali Phillips as our wedding consultant was the best decision we could have made. Ali’s professionalism was evident from our first point of contact and never once wavered throughout the course of our engagement. She had answers to every question we could think of, and I am still blown away by how organized Ali is. In addition, Ali’s flexible, cheerful and dependable.
She thought of things that hadn't even occurred to us, and kindly reminded us of little things along the way that we could do to help dot every "i" and cross every "t." Ali played a huge role in bridging the gap between sanity and insanity, and for that we are extremely thankful. Consequently, our wedding day went off without a hitch. Ali provided guidance and support throughout the planning process. She has all sorts of great secrets, ranging from how to save money to lists of reasonable (and exceptional) vendors that were willing to work with our budget. We can’t thank Ali enough for her contribution to the day that we will never forget. —Jen & Louie Jimenez May 23, 2008 Wedding
Wedding Pashmina's For Your Bridesmaids
With the onset of winter arriving this week in Chicago, your lovely ladies may need a little pashmina wrap to keep them warm on your wedding day. I recently found this GREAT website for "Pashminas":http://amazingcollections.com that you can search for colors that match of complement your bridesmaids dresses. They are offered in cashmere and viscose ranging in price from $18 to $40 and is a great present (and also useful) for your bridesmaids!
They also offer white and white pashminas which will match your dress and can be used for a little added warmth while you exit your limousine!

The joy and laughter captured in the pictures is a true testament of our wonderful wedding day! We could not have accomplished this without your professionalism, wisdom, guidance and bottomless well of patience. You smoothed away our frowns and concerns each step of the way and allowed us to enjoy and cherish our special day. It has been a month since our wedding took place, but all our friends and family from different parts of the world are still raving about the event. THANKS ALI ! Love, Lian and Paul
Mina and John's Wedding
Mina and John's wedding was on a lucky day! 7.7.07! Their wedding day was a fun and fabulous day and Mina and John felt "lucky in love"! The ceremony and reception took place at Harold Washington Library in Chicago. Mina and John took advantage of the fabulous weather and did pictures with their wedding party around Chicago. They even were interviwed by a reporter about their toughts of getting married on 7.7.07!

Seating Scrolls
I love the use of seating scrolls in lieu of placecards for wedding guests to let them know where they are seated. Here is one we did for Lena and Chris's reception at the Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois on Friday, May 11th. Baltic Studios took a picture of the Newberry Library's arches on the front of the building and recreated it on the bottom of the seating scroll.
After the wedding it can be framed and placed in your dining room or living room to remember all the great friends that were present on your wedding day!
