Chicago Wedding at River East Art Center and Holy Name Cathedral

Chicago Wedding at River East Art Center and Holy Name Cathedral

We LOVED Morgan and Mike's wedding last fall at the Holy Name Cathedral and River East Art Center. Elizabeth Anne Designs featured it on their wedding blog last week and we wanted to share on our own website too. Morgan and Mike's favorite season is Fall and they embraced that in their wedding day details. Who does not love a fall wedding in Chicago? Enjoy!

Wedding at Hotel Palomar

Wedding at Hotel Palomar

I am so excited to share this wedding with you today. I loved working with Laurel and Dave on their wedding at the Hotel Palomar and adored how Laurel wanted to have so many cute and personal touches on the wedding day. One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was the groom's cake by Tipsy Cake and the wonderful red florals by Alexandra at Exquisite Designs. And with Sarah Alair as the photographer, I knew the pictures would be just amazing as you see below.

Chicago Wedding at Sofitel Chicago Water Tower

Chicago Wedding at Sofitel Chicago Water Tower

Being a wedding consultant in Chicago brings about opportunities to work with so many wonderful wedding couples that are reflecting who they are as part of their wedding by doing ethnic traditions that involve their families, wedding party and guests. Monica and Chris chose to bring both traditions of having a chinese tea ceremony and a traditional Korean Ceremony in their wedding. The Christian ceremony took place at Fourth Presbyterian Church (where I am also a member), followed by the two ethnic ceremonies at the Sofitel Chicago Water Tower just before cocktails began.

The Knot Chicago Party

The Knot Chicago Party

The Knot.com invited Chicago wedding industry consultants and professionals to gather together on Wednesday night at the cool event location, Salvage One, to celebrate. I have not done an event at Salvage One, but what a unique location to host a corporate event or a wedding. It is a two floor raw and lofty space with an outdoor garden that could be used for cocktails or even a ceremony. Located in West Town, parking should be easy for your guests on the night of your event. Not to worry though at this event, VIP Valet was a sponsor at the event and quickly whisked my car away. The ladies at Big City Bride and Botanicals Chicago really did a great job creating a fun and gorgeous event for industry professionals. We sampled great food from Berghoff Catering, danced to the tunes spun by Delta Disc Jockeys, and visited the fun photo booth by Shutterbooth.

Blackstone Hotek Consultant Event

Blackstone Hotek Consultant Event

Last night I attended the Blackstone Hotel's fabulous "Expect the Unexpected" Consultant Event.  What a wonderful night of networking, good food and awesome drinks. And the tabletop! All I have to say is, WOW!!!!  They were designed by the amazing Richard Remiard. He designed 18 tables and I spent about an hour walking thru and viewing his amazing work. Below was my favorite table.

Maricay and James Gorgeous May Wedding

Becky Hill (one of my favorite photographers in Chicago) posted some pictures of a wedding we recently did together on May 10th, 2009. The ceremony was at Holy Family in Chicago followed by a "rocking" reception at Maggiano's which was DJ'ed by the 'oh so fabulous' DJ Toad.

The Peninsula Hotel August 18th, 2007

Kathy and Tim Stafford's wedding at The Peninsula Hotel in Chicago, Illinois was a fun day filled with laughter and dancing! The rain did not scare them away from fun pictures in a trolley around Chicago!

Angela and Fadi's Multi Cultural Wedding at The Intercontinental Chicago

Angela and Fadi were married on a gorgeous June day. They chose to see each other before the ceremony to be able to take advantage of pictures around the Chicago skyline with their wedding party.

Hot Chicago Reception Locations

Finding a good wedding reception site is one of the biggest tasks for couples all over the world. The site sets the tone for the wedding so couples usually take a good amount of time making the decision. Here are some fun and different locations I have recently visited.

Mary and Patrick McGeever

Mary and Pat McGeever's wedding was on the perfect fall day in October. The ceremony took place at four o'clock in the afternoon at Holy Name Cathedral.
Cocktails, dinner and dancing followed in the Gold Coast Room at The Drake Hotel.
